OPS constable demoted for database searches unrelated to police work

An Ottawa police constable has been demoted after he used police and Ministry of Transportation databases to search for people he knows personally and other members of the public for more than a year.
A study published this month by researchers at the University of Ottawa has found that applying woodchips to some trails significantly reduced local tick populations.
