Interlake First Nations say Manitoba didn't consult them before blocking access to traditional hunting lands

A provincial gravel blockade along an access road east of Lake St. Martin tumbled earlier this week, as a group of First Nations in Manitoba's Interlake region gathered to remove it and get answers about why it was put there in the first place.
In a letter sent to the environment minister, the 12 municipalities and nine environmental organizations say the province is consuming more groundwater than is being replenished.
