Vancouver soccer fan questions FIFA ticket practices as the federation faces increased scrutiny globally

A North Vancouver soccer fan says FIFA should have been more transparent about where fans could end up sitting after he paid nearly $1,000 for a World Cup ticket. It comes as attorneys general in New York and New Jersey have subpoenaed FIFA as part of an investigation into ticketing practices for the 2026 World Cup.
Toronto's tourism sector had at one point expected to see a major boost from the global soccer tournament driven by travelling fans and large-scale bookings made by FIFA itself.
