Quebec Premier François Legault is urging the federal government to buy new PolarMax icebreakers to protect the Arctic, create jobs in his province and reassure U.S. President Donald Trump about the country’s defence commitment.Mr. Legault said in a letter addressed to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and dated Feb. 25 that the geopolitical context calls for more action in the Canadian Arctic’s Northwest Passage.
