Hour 1 of Ottawa Now for Wed. March 6th, 2024

March 6, 2024
Believe it or not, Daylight Savings Time is fast approaching, and it should make for some entertaining speeches at this Sunday’s Academy Awards. Some people call it ‘springing forward’. Others call it ‘marching forward’. You also have the crowd that doesn’t want to hear either phrase, and doesn’t want to deal with a lost hour of sleep. Joseph De Koninck, an Emeritus Professor of Psychology at UOttawa’s Faculty of Social Sciences, has written an entire piece on his unapologetic disapproval. He joins the show in Hour 1. Plus, we have another positive sign that Spring is arriving faster than usual. As of tomorrow, the Quyon Ferry will be open for business.
