Inmates in Ontario jails held at least 50 hunger strikes in 2023. Experts say the true figure could be much higher

While provincial records suggest at least 50 hunger strikes were held in Ontario's jails last year, experts say the newly obtained data is likely an underrepresentation of collective action amongst the provincial inmate population.
The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will soon require employees to make their way to the office for at least three days a week, following the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's lead. Read More
