Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Wed. March 13th, 2024

March 13, 2024
Last month, more than a dozen overdoses plagued the City of Belleville in less than an hour. This led to a city-wide State of Emergency, declared by Mayor Neil Ellis. And it’s a problem that other small towns are facing right now. We dig deeper with Dr. Alex Caudarella, who is the CEO of the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction. Later in Hour 2, we shift gears to Canada’s Online Harms Bill, as a popular Canadian author criticizes the feds’ latest approach to solving this problem. We explain why Margaret Atwood is at odds with some sections of the present-day bill.
