An advocacy group is calling on the Trudeau government to introduce stricter rules for SUVs and pick-up trucks. The Coalition to Reduce Auto Size Hazards, better known as CRASH, argues that these vehicles are worse for the environment, not to mention more dangerous for pedestrians and drivers to avoid. It has already made 11 recommendations, ranging from safer vehicle design mandates to special driver’s licenses. Kristy Cameron chats with Jessie Ye, who represents one of the organizations that are involved with this campaign.
