Age 65 has been the longstanding expectation for Baby Boomers to retire from the workforce. At least, it’s the age that these workers are aiming for. For today’s younger Canadians, that retirement target seems like an outdated concept. According to a new Leger poll that was commissioned by Wealthsimple, 74 percent of Canadians between the ages of 24 and 44 say the conventional age just doesn’t align with their goals.
