Over countless years, families of children with autism have leaned on a pair of local organizations for support. Sadly, both of those lifelines are now closing their doors for good. Kristy Cameron chats with Brenda Reisch, who is the Executive Director of Children at Risk here in Ottawa. She is also the loving mother of Ian, a young man who has been diagnosed with Autism himself. Meantime, a new species of lice is creating headaches for Canadian schools. Fittingly named ‘super lice’, this breed has become more resistant to our country’s over-the-counter remedies. We dig deeper with Shwanda Walker, the founder of a head lice removal company in North York, Ontario.
