Ottawa man witness to daring rescue of migrants off African coast

An Ottawa man who was aboard a luxury cruise ship that rescued dozens of asylum seekers adrift off the west coast of Africa is calling the vessels's crew "heroes" for their efforts to save as many lives as possible.

Halifax Water says a boil-water advisory is in effect for the Halifax area and some surrounding communities.It says affected customers in Halifax, Beaver Bank, Middle and Lower Sackville, Hammonds Plains, Bedford, Timberlea, Spryfield and Herring Cove should boil all water for at least one minute before using it for consumption.
