Exploring society’s treatment of aging women has emerged as a major theme at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, including a dark comedy about a new mother turning into a feral dog, a drama focusing on a Vegas showgirl's final curtain and a horror about an age-reversing beauty treatment. But critics and industry insiders say there's a lack of progress when it comes to roles for women.
