It was mid-August, and Toby Fournier had just driven 12 hours from her home in Toronto to Durham, N.C., with her parents and belongings. She was set to start her freshman year at Duke University and her first NCAA basketball season.The Canadian teenager settled into the audience among all first-year Duke students and their families for an upbeat welcome session inside Cameron Indoor Stadium, one of the most storied venues in U.S. college basketball.
If the challenges posed by inflation were easy to overcome, more governments would have done so by now. Instead, a succession of elections have shown the current moment to be brutal for incumbent parties and politicians around the world.
