According to recent data, it appears that manual-transmission vehicles are falling out of favour with today’s drivers. Maybe they are intimidated by the complexities of a ‘stick shift’ operation, and would rather choose the ‘set it and forget it’ approach that comes with an automatic vehicle. But whatever the reason, manual cars make up less than one percent of North American car sales, per the Toronto Star. This is a dying art, and perhaps an important life skill that we all should know.
