Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Fri. November 8th, 2024

November 8, 2024
As our city gets used to the new garbage rules, a pile of trash in Ottawa’s East End keeps getting bigger. And now, a lot of people are making a stink about the stench on Old Innes Road. We explore further with Alta Vista councillor Marty Carr. Later in Hour 2, we switch gears back to the topic that dominated the CFRA textboard in the previous hour. That discussion is centered around the pending locations of the asylum-seeker tents, which are scheduled to be set up by the end of next year. Kanata resident Maureen Taylor says, before any decision was made, residents should have been consulted. Plus, after a sudden setback in late-2024, ‘The Boss’ of American-made music has arrived in Canada’s Capital. Are you going to see Bruce Springsteen tomorrow night? CFRA’s Chris Holski certainly is!
