Great local music ready for streaming on City Sounds Playlist 2024

December 20, 2024
Well, you don’t need to be on-hold on 3-1-1 to sample some of our local musical talent. The City of Ottawa presents City Sounds Playlist 2024 on ottawa.ca, ready to stream for your musical pleasure! City Sounds Playlist 2024 features 117 tracks of a wide variety of genres of music in both official languages. Visit the playlist on ottawa.ca, connect your earbuds, headphones or speakers and push play, and enjoy tunes from artists in the Ottawa region. Zoë Argiropulos-Hunter, event producer @firstcrush613 and co-founder of @alsocoolmag, was one of the #ottmusic selection committee members. She reflected about this year’s selections. “Mecca of Stank’s ‘Mon Aura’ is a stand-out track for its genre-blending,” remarked Zoë Argiropulos-Hunter. “Their high energy makes them a must-see local band.” Do you want your music to be featured in an #ottmusic program? The call to artists for 2025 is expected to be made early in the year. Be sure to watch the #ottmusic website, or follow the City on TwitterInstagram, or Facebook to find out when it opens.
