New Brunswick has signed a $32-million agreement with the federal government to improve access to selected drugs for rare diseases.Federal Health Minister Mark Holland says one in 12 Canadians is diagnosed with a rare disease, and the cost of treatment for most of these is unaffordable.
The Quebec Liberal Party says it won’t accept the candidacy of former Montreal mayor Denis Coderre for its vacant leader job.The party says in a statement today that its electoral committee has ruled that Coderre’s candidacy is inadmissible.
