Rural Ottawa city councillors are trying to block a city plan to purchase a property in Fitzroy Harbour, arguing there is other land more deserving of being preserved with its limited money set aside.
The Assembly of Nova Scotia Mi’kmaw Chiefs says it has rejected an offer from the federal Fisheries Department regarding the establishment of livelihood fisheries.The 13 chiefs issued a statement Friday saying the latest offer was a “rebranding” of previously rejected proposals.
