Parts of southern Ontario, Quebec preparing for second strong winter storm

As people in parts of Ontario and Quebec dig themselves out of one winter storm, they are preparing themselves for another one.Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for the city of Toronto, as well as areas southwest and northeast of the Ontario capital.
Ontario NDP Leader Marit Stiles reiterated her pledge on Saturday to make northern Ontario highways safer, promising to widen some highways and end private highway maintenance contracts.Her announcement in Thunder Bay came after all four of the province’s main party leaders clashed in their first debate on Friday in North Bay, Ont., held specifically to discuss northern issues such as infrastructure, road safety and an addictions crisis that has hit many communities hard.
