Bank of Canada governor says trade war is different for the economy than COVID

The COVID-19 pandemic eventually brought a rapid recovery for the economy, but Bank of Governor Tiff Macklem says don’t expect the same to happen if the country winds up in a trade war. He says trade tensions would mean less investment in the country from businesses and there’s only so much monetary policy can do to help.
