According to a new poll from Leger, 40 percent of Canadian workers are worried about losing their jobs, as an escalating trade war with the United States is gradually taking its toll. Meantime, 46 percent of Canadian households are living on a paycheque-to-paycheque basis. And here in Ontario, more than half of its workers are worried about their job security. Kristy Cameron digs deeper with Siobhan Vipond, the Executive Vice-President of the Canadian Labour Congress. Shifting gears to another popular topic, the temperatures are starting to warm up, as exhibited by Monday’s official shutdown of the Rideau Canal skating season. Spring officially begins next Thursday, but that Spring-like forecast is expected to arrive this weekend. Does that provide a nasty recipe for flooding? Doug Gillham, a meteorologist with The Weather Network, examines how much rain is going to fall over the coming days.
