Hour 3 of Ottawa Now for Wed. March 12th, 2025

March 12, 2025
A new poll says Canadians are rethinking who their ‘true allies’ are. It appears the United States isn’t as high on this list compared to the start of 2025. So what exactly do you think of America’s current state? Are you mad at them, and who exactly are you mad at? Kristy Cameron sifts through the textboard and tackles today’s Question of the Day. Here at home, the City of Ottawa is scrapping its plans to build newcomer reception centres in Nepean and Kanata. They had been planning a ‘prefabricated building’ near the Nepean Sportsplex, and potentially another one near the Eagleson Park-and-Ride. When they were first unveiled, City Hall was filled to the brim with public backlash. And now, they are moving away from those plans. Kanata South councillor Allan Hubley joins the program in Hour 3.
