Second set of remains in Winnipeg-area landfill search identified as Marcedes Myran

March 17, 2025
Manitoba has identified a second set of human remains at a Winnipeg-area landfill, confirming that they belong to one of two First Nations women whose bodies the province has been searching for at the site since last year. In a statement Monday, the Manitoba government said investigators at the Prairie Green landfill have matched human remains to Marcedes Myran, one of four women murdered in 2022 by a serial killer who was convicted for the crimes last summer.
