Upcoming closure of MacLaren Street and Kent Street intersection

Starting at 6:00pm on Friday, April 11, MacLaren Street and Kent Street will be closed at the intersection.
This closure will be in effect until Sunday, April 13 at 6:00pm as part of the MacLaren Street and Lyon Street Integrated renewal project. This project includes replacing the combined sewer and watermains as well as new roads and sidewalks.
Detours and signage will be in place. Please plan ahead and allow for extra travel time.
Kent Street Detour
Kent Street will be closed between Somerset Street and Gilmour Street to facilitate the construction at the MacLaren Street intersection. Local access will be maintained, and a detour will be in place from Gladstone Avenue.
MacLaren Street access
MacLaren Street will be converted to two-way traffic east and west of Kent Street, between Lyon Street and Bank Street, with local access maintained.
On-street parking
On-street parking will be restricted while the road reconstruction activities are in progress.
Pedestrians and cyclists
Pedestrians will be able to use the opposite sidewalk during this closure. Cyclists will have access to a cycle lane.
