Play ball! Ball diamonds start opening this weekend

May 2, 2025
Thanks to cooperative weather this spring, some ball diamonds will start opening this weekend, with the remaining on track to open on Tuesday, May 6. Maintenance crews are working hard to ensure that the fields are ready for use. Status updates for ball diamonds will be posted on ottawa.ca. Conditions are being assessed daily, and staff will provide updates to permit holders as the remaining ball diamonds are opened. Sports fields are scheduled to open on May 15. For more information on City programs and services, visit ottawa.ca, call 3-1-1 (TTY: 613-580-2401) or 613-580-2400 to contact the City using Canada Video Relay Service.
