Wildfires have forced more than 800 residents to evacuate their northwestern Ontario First Nation.Chief Waylon Scott of the Wabaseemoong Independent Nation, which sits about 100 kilometres northwest of Kenora near the Manitoba border, says rain and cooler temperatures have kept several fires at bay, but the blazes still pose a major threat.
The Hockey Canada sexual-assault trial has once again sparked conversation across the country around meaningful consent, respect and safe sexual relations.The Globe wants to hear from young women and their parents about how they’re navigating those discussions. How do teenaged girls and young women feel about the current state of things? Has there been progress since the #MeToo movement?
