N.L. Conservative MP Carol Anstey wants to focus on encouraging people to stay in the province

Carol Anstey’s first taste of politics was two decades ago, door knocking for the Progressive Conservative candidate in her Newfoundland community of Deer Lake when Danny Williams stormed into power.She later worked on the provincial election campaign for the short-lived Newfoundland and Labrador Alliance party five years ago, before finally deciding to take the leap herself by running for the federal Conservatives in 2021.
