The Quebec government will be imposing an all-out ban on cellphones in the classroom. This ban begins from the opening bell and lasts until the end of the school day, and there are no on-break exceptions. Prior to this, the Legault regime had a partial ban in place, an idea that other provinces began to adopt in their own way. As to how these rules will be enforced and implemented, that will be up to the schools themselves. Kristy Cameron digs deeper with Naomi Buck, a columnist for The Globe And Mail, in Hour 1. She has followed this topic religiously since the Ontario government vowed to examine cellphone regulations in 2019. Is this crackdown actually doing more harm to today’s students?
