A few days ago, Honda Canada reportedly decided to take a 2-year break on its $15 billion Ontario investment, a gameplan that would have included multiple EV battery plants and a Made-In-Canada supply chain. And now, other business investors might be re-evaluating their dreams of a large-scale EV operation in Canada. The Village of Chase in British Columbia’s Interior has activated its emergency operations centre as a wildfire burns in the area. The village said in a statement that the nearby Neskonlith Indian Band issued an evacuation order because of the fast-spreading wildfire that was discovered Monday.
