Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Mon. July 7th, 2025

July 7, 2025

Bill 9 serves as the Ford government’s latest initiative to crack down on so-called misbehaving municipal politicians. Ahead of the 2026 Municipal Elections, Ontario’s Premier is hoping to have those regulations in place before the ballot boxes open. We dig deeper in Hour 2 with Aird and Berlis municipal lawyer John Mascarin and Ontario Liberal MPP Stephen Blais. But first, a nasty storm is looming over the National Capital Region, and it is capable of producing tornadoes. CFRA's Chris Holski delivers the latest information as it becomes available.
