Ontario's electric ferries are still running on diesel, and costs are adding up

For years, different Ontario governments have used the electric ferries for Wolfe and Amherst islands as evidence the province is leading by example in the battle against climate change — but both vessels are still being powered by diesel fuel.
A University of Ottawa study found that those 35 years and younger are more likely to believe in conspiracy theories. Kristy speaks with the author of the study, professor Daniel Stockemer. Multiple wildfires are burning in Newfoundland, prompting more evacuation orders and destroying structures in a community in the eastern part of the province.Newfoundland and Labrador’s premier said during a media briefing Tuesday the out-of-control wildfire near Small Point–Adam’s Cove–Blackhead–Broad Cove and Kingston grew significantly overnight.
