Upcoming road closure on Woodroffe Avenue

July 16, 2025
Approximately three-month-long closure on Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road will begin Sunday, July 20.

Beginning the night of Sunday, July 20, Woodroffe Avenue between Richmond Road and Deschênes Street will be fully closed for approximately three months. This closure will allow for the replacement of sanitary sewers and roadway reconstruction as part of the Revitalizing Richmond Road project.

Signed detours will be in place throughout the closure period. Driveways and entrances into residences and businesses will remain open to local traffic. Businesses on Richmond Road and Woodroffe Avenue will continue to be open during construction.

OC Transpo bus routes will be detoured. For updates and trip planning assistance, visit octranspo.com, use the Travel Planner and Transit App, or call 613-560-5000.

Pedestrian access will be maintained on Woodroffe Avenue during the closure to vehicular traffic.
