Police north of Montreal say a vehicle found in the Mille-Îles River on Sunday could be linked to the case of a Laval man who went missing in 1988.Deux-Montagnes police say they are looking into the discovery, which was reported to police by a diving group known as Exploring With a Mission.

Melina Frattolin, who was reported missing by her father Saturday night, was found dead in Ticonderoga, N.Y., about 50 kilometres east of Lake George near the New York-Vermont border, on Sunday.

Both father and daughter were identified by authorities as residents of Canada.No charges have been announced in the case.
