B.C. Premier David Eby said he believes U.S. leadership has "very little awareness" of how offensive their remarks are, like the U.S. ambassador to Canada saying President Donald Trump thinks Canadians are "nasty" to deal with because of U.S. boycotts.
When Jorge Castillo was finally allowed to return to Jasper, he drove to his home in Alberta’s Rocky Mountains hoping to see at least some remnants of the house he and his family had lived in for the past four years.He was expecting to find part of it still standing after last year’s wildfire. But “there was nothing,” said Mr. Castillo, a chef who works at a restaurant south of town.
