As you might have previously heard in Hour 1, we are talking about the evolution of today’s workforce. To be more specific, the role of Artificial Intelligence. It is changing the way we live, not to mention our daily workspace. And for some of Canada’s hardest workers, A.I. is their worst nightmare, as it potentially puts their present-day jobs in serious danger. Kristy Cameron continues the conversation with Armine Yalnizyan, an economist with the Atkinson Fellow on the Future of Workers. Yesterday, we talked about Pembroke’s brand-new pilot program, as a member of the National Capital Region takes on-demand transit for a test-drive. Last year, Ottawa city councillor Laura Dudas had spearheaded a similar pilot project for Blackburn Hamlet. How did it go, and is it still in service? She drops by the Hal Anthony studios in Hour 2.
