Ottawa Now - City of Ottawa employees issued a five-day return-to-work mandate, spawning negative reactions from multiple city councillors

The City of Ottawa has announced that all employees are returning to the office full-time, effective January 1st. A new memo from the City Manager cites it as the new standard, insisting it will help strengthen the organizational culture. Of course, the door is open to some exceptions, but this decision isn't sitting well with everyone, spawning negative reactions from multiple city councillors. Kitchissippi councillor Jeff Leiper believes that city service actually improved in a hybrid environment, and argues that this recent shift goes against the city's vision for itself.
