Federal government to delay electric-vehicle mandate to aid tariff-hit automakers

The federal government is delaying a requirement for automakers to begin hitting minimum sales targets for electric vehicles next year.

Prime Minister Mark Carney is set to make the announcement later this morning, a source familiar with his plans said.
