Ottawa Now - Feds pump the brakes on their scheduled EV mandates

On Thursday, the streets were buzzing about a significant announcement from Canada’s Prime Minister. This morning, we got exactly that, as Mark Carney unveiled a brand-new ‘Buy Canadian’ procurement policy. He also provided an update on the government’s upcoming EV mandates, a zero-emissions policy that was supposed to begin in the new year and is now being walked back. Furthermore, an immediate review of the government’s EV mandate is scheduled to begin shortly.
