As you might have previously heard in Hour 1, we are talking about the evolution of today’s workforce. To be more specific, the role of Artificial Intelligence. It is changing the way we live, not to mention our daily workspace. And for some of Canada’s hardest workers, A.I. is their worst nightmare, as it potentially puts their present-day jobs in serious danger. Kristy Cameron continues the conversation with Armine Yalnizyan, an economist with the Atkinson Fellow on the Future of Workers. Yesterday, we talked about Pembroke’s brand-new pilot program, as a member of the National Capital Region takes on-demand transit for a test-drive. Alberta’s health authority is forcing some employees to take unpaid time off to ease its financial crunch, according to a memo obtained by The Globe and Mail.Alberta Health Services (AHS) said employees who are not unionized and fall within certain salary grades must take two days off without pay before the end of March, 2026.
