Ottawa Now - OC Transpo's service metrics remain 'stagnant'

Despite hiring new drivers and mechanics, OC Transpo continues to fall short on its reliability targets, as the transit service’s metrics stay ‘stagnant’. Recently, they have implemented a ‘New Ways To Bus’ gameplan, which features a significant route redesign. And while another phase of LRT is awaiting the green light in Orleans, critics remain skeptical that this ship is being turned around fast enough. Gio Petti is a regular Ottawa transit user, and his recently-released documentary has dissected a wide range of present-day transit dilemmas at OC Transpo.
