Ottawa Now - Ontario's Premier hoping that Canada's Prime Minister will back the Highway 401 tunnel

More specifically, a tunnel from Brampton to Mississauga in the West End, and one from Scarborough to Markham in the East End. The endgame of Doug Ford’s plan: Alleviate congestion and the flow of commerce. But now, Ford is ramping up the intensity of this idea, encouraging Canada’s Prime Minister to back his vision. Matti Siemiatycki is a Professor of Geography and Planning at the University of Toronto, and also serves as the Director of the university’s Infrastructure Institute. He joins Kristy Cameron on today’s Ottawa Now.
