To keep its ER open, a Yellowknife hospital told doctors to name their price for summertime shifts

It was late June, and the largest hospital in the Northwest Territories was running out of options for keeping its emergency department open through the summer.
There were nine shifts in July and 38 in August and early September during which no ER doctor was scheduled to work at Yellowknife’s Stanton Territorial Hospital, a facility that serves all of the NWT and western Nunavut.

It is unbelievable that Premier Ford would state that speed cameras are a cash grab and is actually planning to ban them. The tickets resulting from being caught by a speed camera are nothing more than a self-inflicted injury. It is so simple: if you don’t want a ticket, don’t speed. Duh. Read More
