Ottawa Now - U.S. President Trump pulls no punches in U.N. General Assembly speech

September 23, 2025

For the first time in 7 years, the U.S. President delivered an in-person address to the United Nations General Assembly. Donald Trump, to nobody’s surprise, didn’t hold back his thoughts. Then, Trump attacked the environmental movement and the clean energy movement, dubbing it a ‘con job’ and a ‘scam’. What are the key takeaways from Trump’s near-hour monologue? Kristy Cameron digs deeper with Jeff Bloodworth, a political historian who studies the history of American liberalism and conservatism.
