Lightspeed names two new directors as part of board shakeup

Lightspeed Commerce Inc. LSPD-T is making changes to its board of directors with the appointment of two new members and the departure of two others.
The company, which is based in Montreal and sells payment software to businesses, says Sameer Samat and Odilon Almeida will join its board, effective Oct. 1.
First Nations chiefs in Saskatchewan say they want answers after a forensic audit of the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations concluded more than $34 million of the organization's spending between April 2019 and March 2024 was "questionable," unsupported or ineligible.
