McGuinty defends Canada’s Golden Dome collaboration with U.S., citing speed of potential incoming missiles

Defence Minister David McGuinty defended a growing partnership with U.S. President Donald Trump’s Golden Dome missile defence system, saying Canada and the United States will have mere minutes to respond the latest generation of incoming threats from “malign state actors.”
The minister spoke at a Toronto conference on Canada-U.S. relations one day after Mr. Trump announced that Canada is collaborating with the U.S. on his ambitious and potentially expensive project to connect the U.S.’s air defence systems and expand them, including with new defences in outer space.
The City of Penticton wants to build a tiny home community for the unhoused population on a piece of land along Dartmouth Road.
