Striking Alberta teachers ask government to resume bargaining on Tuesday, union says

The union representing 51,000 striking Alberta teachers says it has asked the province to resume negotiations starting Tuesday.

The Alberta Teachers’ Association says it’s making the move based on the success of recent side talks.

It was November 2022 when the province announced it would remove 7,400 acres of land from the Greenbelt to accommodate plans to build 50,000 new homes.
