To commemorate Veterans’ Week, the Poppy Flag will be flown at City Hall and the following City facilities from Wednesday, November 5 to Tuesday, November 11:

Orléans Client Service Centre
Mary Pitt Centre
Metcalfe Client Service Centre
West Carleton Client Service Centre
North Gower Client Service Centre
In addition, all flags at City facilities will be lowered to half-mast from sunrise to sunset on Tuesday, November 11 to commemorate Remembrance Day and honour all Canadians, past and present, who have served their country in time of war.

A violent knife-wielding woman was tasered and “inadvertently” run over twice by a Toronto police SUV during her arrest next to a Tim Hortons drive-thru on Saturday.
The dramatic incident, which was captured in a pair of videos circulating widely across social media platforms, occurred mid-afternoon near Jane Park Plaza shopping centre in the city’s west end, where officers responded to reports of a woman with two large knives.
