Hour 1 of Ottawa Now for Thurs. November 13th, 2025

November 13, 2025

As residents were examining the 2026 Draft Budget, a crowd of people noticed a curious-looking information box on the city’s website. This follows a December 2024 motion from Alta Vista councillor Marty Carr, which was unanimously carried. However, her original intention was to raise funds for ‘irregular things’. Carr joins Kristy Cameron in Hour 1. Sticking with municipal matters, the City of Ottawa has kickstarted talks to buy a private piece of land in the East End. What for, you may ask? A new landfill. We gather instant reaction from William Van Geest, who is the Executive Director of Ecology Ottawa. But first, we bring you up to speed on today’s top headlines.
