MPs respond after Carney's budget narrowly clears House vote

Prime Minister Mark Carney’s government has narrowly survived a crucial budget vote that could have sent Canadians to the polls this winter but instead propped up the minority Liberal government. Interim NDP leader Don Davies and Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne respond after MPs vote 170 to 168 on a confidence motion that expressed support for the fall federal budget.
Premier Scott Moe has had a busy week with the First Ministers meeting on Monday and then spending Tuesday in Washington, D.C., meeting with U.S. government officials.
