Power problem disrupting Line 1 service Thursday

A problem with the overhead power system has closed two LRT platforms and disrupted service along Line 1, OC Transpo said Thursday.
A retired Regina police sergeant is expected to plead guilty Friday to criminal charges related to using police resources to pursue intimate relationships with dozens of vulnerable women. Robert Semenchuck, 53, had been expected to enter the plea in Regina Provincial Court on Thursday morning, but neither he nor his lawyer appeared in court. Court heard Mr. Semenchuck was prepared to offer a plea by phone, but Crown prosecutor Christopher Browne requested that the judge direct the accused appear in person.
